01.11.2011 - PTS acquire GeoTest

On 1 November 2011, PTS acquired the services of the former company GeoTest and will continue to provide geotechnical testing services from the Adlington Geotechnical Centre. Phone 01257 481 782.

19.10.2011 - PTS acquire Durham County Council Assets

On Wednesday 19 October PTS purchased the laboratory assets of Durham County Council. These assets will be located in our North East Laboratory as we continue to develop our range of services at this location.

 

01.06.2011 - PTS has now gained UKAS accreditation for a suite of tests for High Friction Surfacing TRL 176: 1997

 

PTS Ltd have achieved UKAS accreditation for the following;

High Friction Surfacing: Scuffing
High Friction Surfacing: Sample preparation
High Friction Surfacing: Thermal movement
High Friction Surfacing: Diesel susceptibility
High Friction Surfacing: Freeze/thaw conditioning
High Friction Surfacing: Heat ageing conditioning
High Friction Surfacing: Tensile adhesion
High Friction Surfacing: Degree of erosion and visual observation
High Friction Surfacing: Skid resistance value
High Friction Surfacing: Texture depth

PTS Ltd have achieved UKAS accreditation for BS EN 12272:2002 Rate of spread of binder, BS EN 12272:2002 Rate of spread of chippings and BS1707:1989 Uniformity of transverse distribution of binder (depot tray test).

PTS is now accredited for PSV & AAV testing

PTS win H&S Award

PTS has recently received an award from Birse Civils in recognition of its H&S, Environmental and Quality while working on the Chatterley Whitfield contract.

 

New PTS - Testing the Nation

Since 2002 PTS has been testing the infrastructure of the British Isles and further afield. We have completed a comprehensive range of site surveys, many of which are UKAS accredited, stretching the length and breadth of the nation.

10/12/2007 New Laboratory Director appointed.

Tom Robinson Appointed, Laboratory Director, Tom brings a wealth of experience to this position and will be overseeing the Chorley Laboratory and associated site work.

10/09/2007 New Laboratory Manager appointed.

Mike Hayes Appointed Laboratory Manager, Mike will be in charge of the Chorley Laboratory.

09.10.2007 - PTS Lab extends UKAS accreditation

PTS have extended their UKAS Accreditation for the Pavement Engineering Laboratory in Chorley. The full range of tests now available as part of the accreditaion schedule can be viewed here.

07.09.2006 - DVS commission in Salford

This month PTS have been commissioned by Urban Vision to undertake a spatially referenced Digital Video Survey (DVS) of the Greater Manchester City of Salford, totalling some 730 lane km and 3760 roads. Once complete and delivered, the imagery, along with a bespoke viewing, measurement and digitising browser “RouteMapper”, will allow the client to fully inventorise the City’s highway assets from an office based workstation.
